I believe it is still in the cellar – ‘The Curator’ wrote as story about it titled ‘Cold comfort’ in May 2014 – you may recognise it in the photos.
The reference for Nina’s blancmanges being chilled in the well was from a Rouse family member’s oral history. We have other reports of the same technique being followed at Meroogal when there was no ice in their chest in the early 1900s.
You would have to balance the food carefully – you wouldn’t want to let a blancmange or jelly slip, or drop one down too deep!

When I was a child (60 years ago) there was an ice chest that stood outside the kitchen door. Many years later the ice chest was moved to the cellar (which was the last place I saw it).
